Al Fahidi Marine Transport Station is located at southern bank of Dubai Creek, which is a tidal inlet, natural saltwater creek in Dubai. The station is owned by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and serves as a vital link in Dubai's public transportation network, specifically for water transport.
Al Fahidi Marine station consists of three parts; a water taxi pontoon, water bus pontoon and water ferry terminal. They are connected to the land by 3 gangways.
ARTI Proje has conducted a comprehensive review of the facility, which includes a description of the main structural components. Inspections, both above and below the water, have been carried out. The condition of individual members, such as piles, pontoons, floats, gangways, etc., has been thoroughly assessed. Finally, recommendations for maintenance requirements have been provided.
