BODRUM CRUISE PORT

About the project

In 2003, Bodrum Cruise Terminal, a project which had been on Turkey's and Bodrum's agenda for years but one which had never been actualized, was canceled for the final time via the Build Operate Transfer system by the Ministry of Transportation.

ARTI Proje prepared the tender proposal designs and investment feasibility studies for the ERS Construction-Setur joint venture which was awarded the tender.

Completed in the summer of 2007, the terminal consists of a 240 m main piled pier with 2 ferry ramps on either side, and two mooring dolphins. The terminal also offers mooring facilities for boats of different sizes, including sea buses and ferries. With the project, Turkey's very first full-blown purpose-built modern cruise port was realized.

The world's largest cruise ships can easily berth in the finger pier that allows mooring of cruise ships up to in 350 m length with a maximum draft of 9 m.

First vertical piled pier in Turkey which complies with International seismic guidelines in the early 2000s.

BODRUM CRUISE PORT

Our Work Scope

We provided services within the scope of wave modeling, design basis establishment, basic design, detailed design, and construction drawings of marine structures. The pier was designed with only vertical piles considering a new seismic design approach in the early 2000s.

As ARTI Proje, in addition to the project designs, we provided the investor with consultancy services throughout the construction process of the project.
